It’s time to understand that chronic, obsessive overwork has major consequences. Not only can a “live to work” culture lead to burnout, but studies show that this kind of cut-throat achievementism can also lead to an increase in cutting corners and bent rules. There is a wealth of research that proves that we’re ruining our health and productivity by working too hard and too long. And while we could go around blaming the American work culture, which is indeed toxic, we do have some agency in how we work. This session will explore the term of "burn-out" and how to identify it in your own life. We then break-down how to implement self-care strategies and open up avenues to explore community care.
